Astral Projection | Abstract

Astral Projection

Dear readers, this time i have chosen to write about "Astral Projection" - little more complicated topic compared to Lucid Dreaming - my previous post. There are many scientific researches for "what essentially is Astral Projection", from all online-researches i did, i learned something, but i've spent a lot of time searching for the needed informations. So i decided to write a clear, step by step post and share it with you.

Besides the physical body, each person possesses an astral body, (what we call soul). So what does Astral Projection mean? Projecting your astral body along with the consciousness!  Sometimes when we are awake in the morning and remember that in dreams we visited places that we've never visited before. So it is very likely that in your astral body, we have consciously visited these places through astral projection.

Astral Projection

There are two types of astral projection: deliberate or wanted Astral Projection, and unwanted spontaneous projection that usually happens in a dream, state of narcosis, unconsciousness, under the influence of drugs etc.

In a spontaneous projection, the astral body is passive and doesn't control the situation and you can't be aware of what is happening. An astral body is an exact duplicate of the physical body, or more precisely the physical body is a duplicate of the astral body.

Astral Projection
The first stage of learning Astral Projection and perhaps the most important,  is remembering the content of your dreams. So immediately after awakening, take some detailed notes about the content of your dream because you may forget something important.

Between a dream state and being awake there is another condition! In that other condition (the period between your dream and the awaking, e.g. when you are sleepy) try to remember the content of your dream!

Also, don't make sudden movements, because that may awake you, and dont force yourself to concentrate on the content of the dream, because strong concentration presents a conscious activity that removes your sleepiness, it is important the process of remembering to start in the process of sleepiness and not to force this process in any way.

The next step is "Constructing the dream" where your body is in a flat position and gradually rises up. It is best to construct a dream where you are going up in an elevator, lying on the floor. Imagine that you approach the elevator, open the door and lie on the floor. Then the elevator goes up.

Astral Projection
You should enjoy this feeling... Imagine the place where the elevator should stop and exit. Again you should enjoy this feeling. Now imagine that your body is rising up from the floor of the elevator, without straining the muscles, like you are lighter than air. Exit the elevator, enter the apartment (room) where you have a full view of all sides. From the window try to fly away, like jumping from a tall building and start flying. While flying, watch from an aerial perspective, the roofs of houses, buildings, streets with cars, people, trees etc.. You can visit famous places... Your dream (creating the elevator along with the flying) should be no longer than 2-3 minutes. Then in your thoughts come back (by flying) to the window from which you started to fly, come to the elevator, get in and lie on its floor. Then let the elevator bring you back where you started. You should repeat This constructed dream  2-3 times everynight non stop. The content of the dream should be the same and it should repeat from night to night, like watching a short-movie over and over again.

According to the mechanism of astral projection. After you have done everything of the above a dream will be formed. Now comes an important part of the whole operation, "in your dream you need to wake up at a specific place. Pick a spot where you come often in your constructed dream, for example: roof of a house, a building, a tree...  If you are afraid of heights pick a spot on the ground. Continue to visualize the constructed dream in the same way, and then continue your dream by waking up on the chosen spot. Imagine a lot of vivid and colorful things, but keep in mind they should be as realistic as possible. You need to visualize waking up, opening your eyes and looking around you.

Astral Projection
At the beginning this kind of control will only last a short period of time! Standing at a completely familiar place, completely aware of your surroundings  and looking at things with "new eyes" (everything will seem very realistic) and then, you will feel some strange force pulling you down (an uncomfortable feeling as if  falling into an abyss) this is usually followed by a sudden move of your body. At that moment you will wake up physiologically because psychologically you were awake from the moment when you woke up in the dream. So that period of dream-controling at the beginning will be very short, when it ends it will feel like it is escaping from your hand. This will happen because thedream will contain elements that you don't like, e.g falling down and stopping the dream. By repeating this experiment the periods of control will be longer and when that happens the whole situation in the dream will escape from you.

You have succeded in consciously projecting your astral body, which means that you will keep being fully conscious in the situation and you can critically  evaluate the things and events around you and you will start moving whenever you want . When This period - "control of the situation" is significantly extended, you will be able to return to your physical body and critically observe it. You will see your physical body laying still on the bed, your pale face, you will hear the rhythm of your breathing which will be far faster than usual.

At this stage of the operation you will clearly see the silver rope that connects the astral body with the physical body. You will be able to touch it with your hands but you will not know what it is made of. It will remind you of something alive, fluid and untouchable. The astral plan differs from person to person. The details of the astral light and thethe products of the thoughts and feelings also differ.

During the dream the astral body separates from the physical body and most of the time hovers directly above it.

Astral Projection

This is my take on astral projection. This is how I understand it. If someone out there has experienced this or something similiar, it would be great if you shared your experiences and thoughts in the comments.

Leaving your body, lucid dreaming and 'near-death' experiences. People are amazed with them, especially since there are so many folks claiming to have had the last one. What's most interesting, there are a few scientific explanations to most of these phenomenons. Like for instance, when one 'sees the light', it's most likely due to hypoxia - lack of oxygen in the brain which creates the 'light tunnel' experience.

I've had a few out of body experiences (on purpose). I assure you it's real. At the very least, it feels more "real" than being awake.
